So what are your natural color tones?
Winter is, along with Summer, one of the two “cool” (i.e. blue-based) palettes. This means that a person who is a Winter should wear colors that have blue undertones. Winters differ from Summers in that their skin tends to contrast dramatically with their hair and eye color, and therefore seem “intense.” This means that they look best when dressed in colors that are relatively more intense, and that contain sharper contrasts, than would look best on a person belonging to the other “cool” season (Summer). When dressed in the strongly contrasting colours that suit them best, Winters look “intense”, “pure” and “clean”. When Winters dress in less intense or highly contrasting colours, the strong contrasts between their skin on the one hand and their hair and eyes on the other will seem “washed out.”
Summer is, along with Winter, one of the two “cool” (i.e. blue-based) palettes. This means that a person who is a Summer should wear colors that have blue undertones. Summers differ from Winters in that their skin tends to contrast gently with their hair and eye color, and therefore seem “softer” and “less intense. “This means that they look best when dressed in colors that are also relatively softer or less intense, and that contain less dramatic contrasts, than the colors which look best on a person belonging to the other “cool” season (Winter). When dressed in the less strongly contrasting colours that suit them best, Summers look “harmonious” and “subtle. “When Summers dress in more intense or highly contrasting colours, the gentle contrasts between their skin on the one hand and their hair and eyes on the other will seem “overpowered.”
Spring is, along with Autumn, one of the two “warm” (i.e. yellow-based) palettes. This means that a person who is a Spring should wear colours that have yellow undertones. The main difference between Spring and Autumn colour palette is that the Spring’s colours are based on yellow such as yellow sparkling gold, in contrast with Autumn’s colours which are based on deep gold. As a result spring’s colours are intense, often bright and playful.
Autumn is, along with Spring, one of the two “warm” (i.e. yellow-based) palettes. This means that a person who is an Autumn should wear colors that have yellow undertones. Generally the autumn colours are warm, soft, and deep. Some of the autumn colours are brick, coffee, caramel, beige, tomato red, forest green.People who fall under this category usually have brown hair with golden or red undertones but a person with almost black hair and skin with yellow undertones can find him or herself to be an autumn too.
Amber’s Note:
Of course there are certain colors by this method that will be best on you but remember have fun and CHEAT, by changing hair color you can add a whole pallet of new colors to your makeup and wardrobe. Have fun with it!
Beauty 101:
Playing dress up is fun but what’s important is that you are truly happy with the person you see in the mirror after you wash your face at night and you are happy with your body after dress up….this is the only body you will ever have, love it and have peace.
1. Use Powder for a base that is a faster and lighter cover-up than liquid foundations & USE a powder blush.
2. Eyes are must- less is more stay with natural tones and very little. Brow Pencil for defining your brow line.
3. Lip liner, lip gloss! Done!
Time Savers Hair
1. Quick Braids and Up-dos. These don’t take long, buy a couple hair sticks they are SO easy to use and create gorgeous hairstyles in seconds!
2. Loose braids can be sexy especially good when you are having a bad hair day or don’t feel like blow drying.
3. Make your pony-tails interesting by adding a twist at the top or low side tails can be very pretty and don’t forget the wrap your hair around the rubber band trick to make them look more sophisticated.
Photo Shoot
This May I had the opportunity to shoot with a very talented photographer, Christopher Smith of CSP in, PA. It was very beautiful and green back east as usual. I’ve always compared modeling to dancing in the light of performance art. Christopher knew exactly what he was after and pushed me very hard the day and a half we worked together. There is an intimate part of participating in the arts whether you think you are giving something through the medium(s) or not there is a something always left behind. A feeling, a thought, or emotion captured for timeless reflection. Maybe inquiries, judgments or small fragments of entertainment is all that will become of the images I have posed for….that’s okay by me after all there was a reason every time.
I hope he captured what he wanted and for me, I was grateful for the work and the pleasure of working with the NICEST professional EVER!

7 Ways to Treat Your Hair Without the Cost
1. Deep Condition- I have found Deep Conditioning Products for $10 sometimes less at the grocery store. I do my own treatments at home and save money!

3. Use a Leave in Product- I use oil (for hair) after I blow dry or use any other heat on my hair.
4. Home Treatments- I blend avocado and olive oil until smooth and infuse the mixture into my dry hair then set in a bun for an hour then rinse in shower.

There are so many things you just don’t need. Clean out everything you haven’t used in the past 2 months chances are you will not use them. Think of it like this, if you could only choose 10 facial items what would they be? Then choose 4 Body Products and 4 Hair Products. This is realistic! Think Quality not Quantity!
If you are a product junky it’s time to change your ways! Be organized, save time and SAVE Money!
Here’s my list:
On a day to day basis for my Makeup regimen I use; 1. Mascarra 2. Eyebrow Pencil 3. Eye Liner 4. Sun Screen Powder 5. Blush 6. Lip Pencil 7. Lip Gloss
The other 3 things that make up my 10 items I can’t do without fall under the skin care items I use; 1. Facial Cleanser 2. Toner 3. Moisturizer with Sun Screen
I am not suggesting to only stick with 10 items but it’s a great way to start prioritizing your beauty helper’s.
I have 6 extra’s on my secondary list of the things I do not use daily but like to have around; 1. Vitamin C Serum 2. Spot Treatment for Breakouts. 3. Full Coverage Foundation 4. Exfoliation Facial Tool 5. Eye Cream (for puffiness) 6. Eye Shadow
Focus on the budget!
Tally up what you are spending to give you an idea of what your situation looks like this is a great start to saving money. This is my chart as you can see I spend most on Hair at the Salon. I can always cut this expense by doing the $25 hair cuts and coloring my own hair at home. I do color my own hair and it’s EZ and I save a ton of money!
Saving on Skin Care
Some skin types really do require dermatologist products. Keep in mind that a lot of products that you buy at the dermatologist’s office you can also get on line for less if it doesn’t require a prescription.
Look for sales on skin care! Read the ingredients on your products don’t go for the popular name that you pay 3x’s the price for, instead get the product that is a great comparable for considerably less! This applies to all beauty products!
Eat your Vitamin C! Eat your fruit every day. Today many skin care products have acknowledge Vitamin C to be a contributing factor in obtaining vibrant and healthy skin! It is a showcase ingredient. Even topically Vitamin C makes a difference now eat it! You are what you eat!
